    • Three hostels completed — Mwarusembe (2023), Kiparang’anda (2024) and Dondo Kisiju (2025) — with a fourth under construction at Mwinyi
    • Each completed hostel accommodates 80 girls, with solar-powered water, electricity and accessible sanitation
    • Form Four examination distributions published for all four schools
    • School-reported pregnancy figures given per site rather than as a single rate

    The examination distributions in this report are published in full on each project page. The improvement percentages it quotes are not, because they conflict with those in other ARF reports.

    • Kinene Primary School opened 29 September 2021 with six classrooms, offices, washrooms, furniture, a teacher’s house and a solar-powered well
    • The school serves 380 pupils who previously walked more than five kilometres
    • Mwarusembe Girls’ Hostel launched 25 June 2023 for 80 girls
    • Drilling for Hope contributed the water systems for these projects

    This report gives a planned Kiparang’anda handover date of 10 August 2024. The launch took place on 17 September 2024, and the later date is the one published.

    Findings from this report are used across the site. Several of its headline figures differ from other ARF reports and from the figures currently published; those are being reconciled with the Foundation and are listed in the owner decision register.

Why some documents are not listed here

The Foundation holds more documents than appear above. Six are catalogued internally and deliberately not published — and it is worth saying why rather than leaving a gap.

  • Findings published, original not hosted

    For most of these reports the facts, figures and outcomes are used across this site and attributed to the report and page they came from. The original document is not offered as a download, because it was written for a specific audience rather than for publication.

  • Donor proposals are not public documents

    A funding request written for one partner is not a publication. Where a proposal has produced a real project, that project appears here with a proposed status — the request itself does not.

  • Budgets stay internal

    Two documents contain construction and programme budgets. A requested budget is not money raised, approved or spent, and publishing one as though it were would misrepresent the Foundation’s finances.

  • Unconfirmed plans are not activity

    A document describing what a project intends to do is not evidence that it happened. Those are catalogued but not listed until the Foundation confirms what was delivered.

Every claim taken from these documents is attributed on the page where it appears, so a reader can see which report a figure came from without needing the original file.
